Pleiades Poem: a seven line poem with a one word title. Each line begins with the same letter as the title.

It seemed only proper. (In Greek mythology, Maia is the eldest of the seven sisters known as the Pleiades)

Mountain nymph of the lively black eyes
Maiden so shy, she stayed in her cave secluded
Mane of rich violet tresses still enthralled Zeus
Magick’s Grandmother, to Zeus she bore Hermes
Merry goddess whose warmth brings spring’s erupting
Memories remain of a power more ancient
Maiesta, the Bona Dea, the great Earth Mother
